Atlanta Public School officials have confirmed that there has been a shooting at Price Middle School in Atlanta. Atlanta police are reporting that two individuals were shot. A 14-year-old student was shot in the back of the neck around 1:50 p.m. EST and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. The student’s condition is unknown. A teacher was also injured and was treated for minor injuries. A suspect is in custody.
The school is on lock down and, at the time of this report, authorities say parents are not being allowed to pickup their children. Only school officials are being allowed on campus.
The school is located on Benjamin Weldon Bickers Drive. Initial reports were that the shooting took place at nearby Carver High School.
