The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified remains found in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as being from missing teen Taylor Robinson.

The 19-year-old woman went missing from Akron on May 4, when her mother dropped her off for work as a home health aid at a house on Kipling Street.

Additional examination of the remains, including anthropologic examination, will need to take place before the cause of death can be determined.

Five rangers from the National Park Service continued a search for any other remains after the first bones were found by hikers at the park on Monday.

The group started to search a quarter-mile area beginning at 1:45 p.m. and said they will be out there for about two hours. The FBI Evidence Response Team will not be involved in Wednesday’s search.

Carmilla Robinson, the mother of missing Akron woman Taylor Robinson, said police told her the bones appeared older than four months.
