How to Keep a Guy’s Attention
The main thing that keeps a guy’s attention is confidence. If a guy feels like a woman is too dependent, it’s unattractive and eventually it pushes me away. Men, just like women, are drawn to strength. There exists, in every guy’s past, a list of needy women that didn’t pan out. A confident woman makes a man jockey for position as the center of her world. So, it gives him the “thrill of the chase” excitement.
Appeal to a guy’s visual tastes, and it doesn’t mean you have to dress like you’re working a street corner. A classy dresser exuding sexy undertones drives a guy wild. Letting it all hang out will destroy the mystery, so just give him a taste. And then there’s the sexy glare. Every woman I’ve dated has had a few looks she gives me that cut right through me, in a good way.
Participate in his passions. But don’t force it. For example, when a woman tries too hard to get into sports, a guy will see right through it. Remain true to your personality while exploring with him. The girl I’m dating does a great job of this. She admits sports don’t matter to her. I’m fine keeping sports as a separate entity in my life. But she loves offering her opinion on the music I show her. We also share a passion for food and have many adventures trying new things in the kitchen.
Opinionated women keep a guy’s attention too. By speaking your mind fairly and expressing your opinions, you become someone he is inspired to impress. He’ll want to show you new things just to get your point of view.
Attraction and compatibility will dictate how you’re able to keep a guy’s attention. But the overall strategy is to create an evergreen dialogue. The dialogue should inspire him and push him to fight in a fun and gentle way for your attention. Over the top tactics – showing a lot of leg, having sex right away – might work in the short term, but it will also attract the wrong kind of guy.
